After a long wait, some additional details are coming from publisher CI Games today. The long-stalled action RPG, Lords of the Fallen 2, will be released next year. The game is being developed internally by the company through the studio Hexworks, and marketing will begin in the third quarter of this year, and it is coming to new generation devices and computers.

The company has also confirmed that its future projects will use the Unreal 5 development engine.
