The RPG game The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt from the Polish company CDPR has achieved superb sales since its release on the last generation home consoles and PC before it was released on the Nintendo Switch as well, the total sales of the game officially exceed 40 million copies. The series as a whole has sold over 65 million copies. Undoubtedly historical figures and the game is one of the best selling RPG games of all time. The story revolves around Geralt of Rivia who searches for his lost daughter Ciri at the request of Emperor Emyr, to explore a world torn between wars, curses and myths.
The next generation version of the game has been indefinitely postponed after the development team terminated its relationship with the Saber branch in Russia that was working on the version. CDPR is working on Part IV as well.
