Star Wars Jedi Survivor Review

To this point, I remember the first time I saw the gameplay demo of Jedi: Fallen Order at E3 several years ago. Then the wonderful Respawn studio decided to take a new adventure by presenting a game not from a first-person perspective, but from a third-person perspective and with unexpected elements taken from games such as the famous Souls series or even Metroid. Now, after several years have passed, we find ourselves on a date with the new part, and with what great enthusiasm we receive this part after our more than positive experience with the first part.

The game builds on the foundations of the previous part and its basic ideas, while introducing developments that justify the long years of development. In the game, you move between several planets and discover them by playing the main story missions, and you will find many relics and information to collect in addition to funds and tools to collect them. And because it maintains the elements of the exploration of Metroid, you will find many branching or even hidden paths that you will need to visit later when you get the capabilities necessary to overcome them.

Now there are two important points to make related to the comparison to the last segment. First, side missions were added to the game, which was missing from the first part. During the game, you will meet many side characters who will give you what is called rumors, and these rumors will be side missions. I have tried several side missions and the variety was great and I did not feel bored at all, some of them required special abilities and also thinking to solve a specific puzzle.

There's also plenty to do aside from the side missions, for example there's a mini-game to tend a garden, collect different kinds of fish, or even hunt down bounty hunters. There are also several shops in the game where you can buy various tools and collectibles to use on your journey. And speaking of collectibles, one of the problems with the first part was the weak rewards for discovery. In this part, the developers have provided several different exploration rewards, which we will talk about in detail.

In the beginning there is the customization of the characters, and this includes our hero and also his companion, the little robot. This time the hero can change his clothes completely in addition to the hair of the head, face and weapons. Most of the chests in the game will contain customization content, but there are other rewards. Perhaps we are talking about the Perks, which is a new feature that you will be able to activate in order to give you various points of superiority. Some of them you will find while exploring, and some you will be able to buy exclusively through stores.

Fighting in the game is still very fun and depends on the abilities of the lightsaber and the Force abilities of the Jedi fighters. The game system depends on changing between several modes of fighting, as it was in the first part, and we may remember here carrying the double sword or the double sword. In the new part, there will be several new situations, and we may not talk about them here in order not to spoil the events for you, but what we will be able to confirm is that they offer a wonderful diversity in the gameplay and will make each person find his own way of fighting.

You will face many different enemies in the game, some of which rely on remote combat and others up close, some of them are armored, some are huge in size, some are flying and some are on the ground. But it seems that the game sometimes suffers from artificial stupidity, and it may be part of the game's technical problems, as I saw more than one enemy who sees me and does not fight me, or I find him standing frozen facing the wall while the rest of his companions fight me with enthusiasm.

The game offers many facilities for players, and I liked some of them, and I think that they should be essential in all games, not just this one. In addition to the fact that the game offers 5 different difficulty levels that satisfy everyone, the game offers facilities that save a lot of time and avoid provocation, such as disabling temporary button press commands or called QTE, and also disabling the drain of health after a fall while moving between platforms.

The story in general was better than the last part, but I still think that many audiences may find it boring. Perhaps it is the limitations of the Star Wars world and its main story, and perhaps it is the world itself and its characters and events in general. But if you love this world, whether from movies or series, you will find here your own paradise, as there is no doubt that this game is the best produced for the Star Wars world in the world of video games.

In general, and especially compared to the first part, the focus of the game on providing “cinematic” touches is clearly evident, and I know how much this word may provoke some. For example, we see many of the programmed clips and also the occasional cinematic clips in fighting some of the main bosses. But we really can't object for two reasons, the first is that the project is essentially a cinematic experience that has been converted into a game, and the second is that the vast content of the Gameplay will greatly satisfy your desires and you will not care about other aspects.

Finally, let's talk about the graphics and arts aspect of the game. This game may be one of the most beautiful video games ever, with its stunning scenery and beautiful designs, whether for open or closed environments, all of which simulate the world of Star Wars in an amazing way technically and artistically. but! There is a bit frustrating, as the game consumes device resources very much.

In the game there is a performance phase, and according to the explanation, it gives a “higher frame rate” than the basic phase, but the resolution is reduced to 1440. Even while playing the performance mode, the theoretical frame rate fluctuates between 30 and 50 frames most of the time, and the graphics are constantly changing With quality and accuracy. The main phase at maximum resolution sometimes seems so slow that it feels like 20 frames per second.

If you are a fan of the Star Wars universe and have been able to bypass the game's technical problems, you will get a wonderful adventure experience full of events, exploration opportunities, collectibles to collect, and characters to get to know. Certainly, the Respawn team has proven that it is reliable and that what we saw in the first part was not a coincidence, and here it is outdoing itself again in this new game.
